Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said there should not be direct comparisons made between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.
GCSE Results 2023
- Attainment 8 score: 43.4
- Progress 8 score: to be released
- Percentage of students who get a standard pass (grade 4 or above) in English and maths: 61.6%
- Percentage of students who get a strong pass (grade 5 or above) in English and maths: 31.3%
- Percentage of students entering the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) combination of subjects (English and maths, and two sciences, a language and history or geography): 17.2%
- Percentage of students achieving ta strong pass in the EBacc combination of subjects: 8.1%
- Percentage of pupils who continue in education or training, or move on to employment at the end of 16 to 19 study: 96.2% 2023, compared with the Shropshire average of 93.7%
