Virtual Open Evening

Ludlow CE School - Open Evening - move to a virtual event Following a discussion with Shropshire Headteachers, we have made the decision to cancel the Open Evening as a live, face-to-face event, next Wednesday 29th September. Although our number of Covid-19 cases is currently not high in number, the local community (and upper KS2 children, particularly) have higher numbers, and so it is not in anyone's best interests to host an evening that could become a "super spreader" event. We will hold a virtual event from 1st October, on our school website: www.ludlowschool.com We are very disappointed that our Open Evening cannot take place as planned, but we have taken this decision in, what we believe to be, the best interests of the wellbeing of the school and the community. Please do contact the school with any queries. Many thanks, Paula Hearle

Photographs are taken as part of routine school life, and they that may include your child.  For example, we often invite press photographers to record events, take team photos and pictures of award winners or special presentations.  We also take photographic records of trips and visits.  In addition, our school publicity material may well include students to illustrate school life.

Photographs taken by the press remain their property.  Photographs taken by our own staff remain under the school’s ownership.

In all these matters we will operate the following code:

  1. Images taken by the school may be given to the press to illustrate an event, but will not be provided at their request.
  2. Images taken by the press may include student names for publication in newspapers.
  3. Publicity material used by the school will NOT name individual students.
  4. Web-based images will NOT include full student names.

If you explicitly do not wish your child to be included in photographs, please make sure that your child is aware, and you inform us in writing.  We will then do our best to ensure they are not photographed.
